In Florida,  FIRST serves nearly 10,000 students statewide.  At the high school level, over $50 million in scholarships are available to participating students. Click here to find teams near you!

The FIRST family of programs consists of four levels  – FIRST LEGO League Jr. , FIRST LEGO League , FIRST Tech Challenge  and FIRST Robotics Competition , which the Orlando Regional showcases.  The programs vary by age and challenge so that learning is always building upon itself.  Starting at age 6 and continuing through middle and high-school levels up to age 18, young people can participate at any level.

Looking for Awesome? We Got That!

In April, the four programs culminate in the two FIRST Championship events,  international robotics competitions and celebrations where teams win recognition, gain self-confidence, develop people and life skills, make new friends, and perhaps discover an unforeseen career path.  In 2018, these will be in Houston, Texas and Detriot, Michigan.

Every FIRST program, including the Orlando Regional, is run by a dedicated and accomplished group of volunteers, including the parents, teachers, friends and engineers, who spend many hours each year to make FIRST a reality for all of the students. Increasingly, these active volunteers and role models are FIRST Alumni.
