Meet FRC Team 103: Cybersonics Technology Team, of Pennsylvania!

Team 103 is flying south for the spring for Recycle Rush!  This is what they have to say about their Keystone State team:

The Cybersonics Technology Team 103 began in 1997 under the direction of two committed teachers leading a small group of students in an extremely rural town in Pennsylvania. Since its inception the team focuses on building the lives of not only 35 dedicated high school students each year, but works to further develop STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) education for the entire school district and community.

In 2003, Team 103 won the Championship Chairman’s Award and was inducted into the FIRST Hall of Fame. Since then, the team has worked diligently to further build their FIRST Interactive Rural SupporT network which aims at assisting teams with problems from fundraising to the engineering design process; this is now even more accomplished with merging it with the team’s social media plan.

This year Team 103 rebuilt almost every aspect of their team while maintaining their mision, vision, and brand. In doing so, Team 103 got a mascot for the very first time since its inception; the mascots name is BEARtholomew and he represents CyBEARsonics to reach even more audiences. Beartholomew tweets about his adventures of being Team 103’s mascot (@beartholomew103).

Team 103 is very happy to be back at the 2015 Orlando regional, it is a place they like to call their second home. The team had attended this regional in four other seasons, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

We’re glad Cybersonics is back with us again this year, too, and hope you have a CyBEARy good time!

Go Team!

If your team is going to the Orlando Regional and you’d like to share your story with us, send a short team bio (250 words or less please), with your team name, number and location, anything special you’d like us to know about, and your team website address if you have one, along with a couple of photos to by March 6th so we can share your story before the Orlando Regional.
