Meet FRC Team 1902: Exploding Bacon, of Orlando, FL!

Exploding Bacon

It’s Bacon Time! Meet FRC Team 1902, Exploding Bacon, a 10 year old 4-H Club team from Orlando, Florida!

Celebrating 10 delicious years, 4-H Exploding Bacon Robotics FRC Team 1902, based in Orlando, Florida along with 3 FLL Teams and a Jr. FLL team, constantly tries to inspire students to pursue science, technology, engineering, and math all while embodying the tenants of gracious professionalism.

This past year, we have volunteered over 1,200 hours at 39 different events, continued with our summer science camps, and established Spark, an effort to bring low cost, hands-on science kits to spread imagination and innovation to children around the world.
This past weekend, we traveled to the inaugural FIRST Robotics Competition Georgia Southern Classic Regional in Perry Georgia and, after three days of tough competition, our robot “Pork Lift” was picked first overall for the elimination tournament and we were awarded the Regional Chairman’s Award! This marks the third time that Exploding Bacon has won the RCA and we couldn’t be more excited to bring our presentation to St. Louis!

We can’t wait to return for our 10th Orlando Regional! We’re looking forward to seeing all of our friends from around the state, and meeting some new friends who are coming to Orlando from across oceans and state lines. See everyone at the competition!

Oink Oink Boom!

We can’t wait to see Exploding Bacon’s Pork Lift in action at the Orlando Regional! Go Team!

If your team is going to the Orlando Regional and you’d like to share your story with us, send a short team bio (250 words or less please), with your team name, number and location, anything special you’d like us to know about, and your team website address if you have one, along with a couple of photos to by March 6th so we can share your story before the Orlando Regional.
