Meet FRC Team 801: Horsepower, of Merritt Island, FL

Team 801 2015

Here’s a team you can’t rein in! Meet FRC Team 801, Horsepower, of Merritt Island, FL:

________________

It might be our 13th year of competition, but FRC Team 801 considers itself far from unlucky. A diverse blend of students from all of the secondary schools in Merritt Island Florida, our team has an overwhelming commitment to Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition, assisting and adopting teams whenever we can.

Team 801’s yellow-gold shirts can be everywhere at the regionals we attend – every team encounter brings together old friends or new friends we haven’t met yet. Known for our signature orange fuzzy hats, “Horsepower” is also known for its unstoppable spirit, demonstrated in 2013 when our robot was completely destroyed the night before the Orlando Regional. Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, thanks to the entire competition field “Neil” was resurrected. Miraculously we played in every scheduled match and advanced to the quarterfinals.

We couldn’t ask for better partners than our many sponsors when it comes to being part of this great team. We would like to THANK YOU for your continued support throughout the season – we couldn’t do it without you!!!

When you’re looking for a team with power, look no further. Who’s got power? We’ve got Power! What Power? HORSEPOWER!!!!

****

This is horseplay we welcome!  Looking forward to seeing Team 801 at the 17th Annual Orlando Regional next week!

Go Team!
